Jill Sitnick

Jill graduated from The College of New Jersey and received her BA in
Secondary English in 1995.  She then started her career at Bensalem
High School where she had completed her student teaching.
While teaching English,
she became interested in instructional technology.  She became one of
the first Pennsylvania Keystone Technology Integrators and had entered
the Instructional Technology program at Philadelphia University.  Upon
completion of that degree, she received Pennsylvania’s Instructional
Technology Specialist certification.

As the saying goes, “timing is everything!"  After Jill completed her
coursework, Bensalem School District was equipping teachers with
classroom computers.  Sensing that technology without training would
make teachers feel like they were jumping out of planes without
parachutes, Jill became a “teacher on special assignment” with the
goal of assistingteachers to use and incorporate technology
in their classrooms.

It was early in Jill’s new position that she listened to teachers asking
for a basic computer graduate course.  Since she had previous experience
teaching adults, with their needs in mind she, and Bob Randall
Associates, created the Microsoft Office for Teachers course for folks
who needed the basics taught with a hands on approach.  This partnership
between Bob Randall Associates and Bensalem School District was
unique to the Bucks County area.  Since then, every course has been
a success and teachers who take the class enjoy being able to create
technology projects with their own content. Jill also peppers
each class with current technology trends to give teachers a
sampling of what is beyond the basics they are learning.
